I wouldn't dare throw you into that pit without knowing what you're getting yourself into. So I definitely wouldn't mind reviewing, say, The Incredible Shrinking Man, or reading your thoughts on Attack of the 50 Foot Woman.Brennanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15399713449347559869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7799692319538063538.post-32365387529104555342019-10-22T10:46:04.308-07:002019-10-22T10:46:04.308-07:00The thing about Cardboard Science is that, if I we...The thing about Cardboard Science is that, if I were strict about the decade, then between the two of us, we'd be running out: there were only about a hundred or so sci-fi films made in the 1950s (and they didn't start appearing in numbers till 1953*). Over the past while, I've done about 30-40, you've done 15-18, and virtually every good 50s SF flick has been accounted for by one of us. Hence a 1964 film that shares their predilections and tone, if not their runtime (sorry) or their typical monochromatic complexion.

On the plus side, I guarantee you that, besides Reptilicus and Time Travelers, this is better than Melchior's Journey to the Seventh Planet, which may be thirty minutes shorter and star John Agar, but is unbearably terrible for every moment of it. Nevertheless, in penace, I'll force myself through Angry Red Planet soon, but not before I get to my Census Bloodbath slate. (You didn't even mention one of 'em had Pauly Shore! You were thinking of me.)

*Whereas they made like 100 slashers in 1981 alone, y'know?Hunter Allenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10925220178171355473noreply@blogger.com
